Driving along the two kms of country road to Podere Cogno, one enters a world where time stands still, where nature reigns and scents are antique. Not far from the millenary village of Fonterutoli and from Poggino's Etruscan tombs, at Cogno there are traces of human presence long before the Romans, as witnessed by archaeological findings in the fields around the biological farm that produces extra virgin organic olive oil. The owners have included all modern conveniences necessary for high quality hospitality, without changing the atmosphere of the ancient country house: in a silent and peaceful environment, the few units available, carefully restored and furnished, offer a delightful holiday. Guests are cordially received in the main farm house, home of the owners, and they have at their disposal a large living-room with a stove and a bar corner, a library with p.c. linked to the internet, billiard room, music room, veranda where breakfast and dinner are served. Dinners are prepared on request by the landowner herself, using the genuine products of the farm and following ancient Italian recipes. A fitness room with sauna overlooks the beautifully kept park, with a solar heated swimming pool (may-october), an outdoor spa (open all year round) and a small pond.
